Eliminating Homelessness in Our Local Communities of Mecklenburg and Union Counties

Working within our Educational Program of SUITED For Veterans, we will coordinate with legislative, judicial and community sources to create an impact driven comprehensive plan. Our goal is to eliminate the plight of increased homelessness by putting in place mechanisms to avoid the state of being at risk or homeless.

The Veteran’s HouseHOLD

                                                         Helping
                                                         Others
                                                         Live
                                                         Decently

We operate a Veteran-Centered Housing Stability and Rapid Re-Housing initiative which serves Veterans and Veterans’ Families in our targeted areas. Our program participants may be at imminent risk of losing their housing, exiting emergency/temporary shelters, living in places not meant for human habitation or experiencing full scale homelessness.

Our project uses a “Housing First Approach” (see National Alliance to End Homelessness Video 3/20/22).

Participating in our support services will not be conditioned on sobriety, income, employment or other listed preconditions.

If you “wore the uniform” we will extend a helping hand. The goal is to help eligible households obtain or retain safe, stable housing as quickly as possible, and then provide practical stabilization support that reduces the likelihood of repeated homelessness.

A key and “unique” philosophy of our organization’s service-goal is:

TO HOUSE THE ENTIRE FAMILY UNDER ONE ROOF… that act in itself is a part of the stability of the Veteran’s Life.
